2nd June 2005 Windsurfing: Brog Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: F3/4 Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: 20 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 5 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Got back from a city-break in Rome with Denise lunchtime. We walked miles and miles and my feet ached. Still I had enough time to go to Brog for the race nice event. It was blowing enough for a slalom on a SE. I got off to an absolute flyer and jumped 20 yards on everyone. And after 3 laps had lapped quite a few already. Then Mike caught me at a gybe where I went too wide. Then he fell in having a tussle with Annette. And I took the lead again, with John B not far behind. Then I fell in grrrr, I was getting tired by about lap 6. John over took me I got him back at a makr but went much too wide again. That was it, I got more and more tired. I lost another place to Andy Lewis by lap 12. Good race though. |
